Travelling from Koh Phangan (Thailand) to Kota Kinabalu. 25/8/2024

 We are currently in Kota Kinabalu. To get here, we rode a 9hr bus, then a taxi, then 2 planes. It was fun, but I'm exhausted. We are trying to head to Borneo and see lots of animals on a river tour. Tomorow we will go to an Orangutan Sanctuary, and I am soo excited! I noticed that airports here are very colourful 🤣! Today we were all very tired, and I hope we aren't tomorrow. This is still the beginning of our journey and I am sure we have lots of fun to come.

Kota Kinabalu to Sepilok. 26/8/24

 To start off our day, we woke up at 6:30am, went to the airport and ate breakfast. We had Macdonalds, but in Malaysia, there is no bacon, as they believe that pigs are dirty. So we got our Mcmuffins with chicken instead. I also got a iced milo to wake me up. After we arrived, we went to a sunbear sanctuary. I loved watching the Sun Bears moving around. Did you know that Sun Bears are the smallest bear in the world? They are black with a yellow chest with black dots and every bear's chest is different. Sun bears are an endangered spiecies because people try to keep them as pets. They put them in cages and treat them very badly. All the Sun bears at the Sanctuary were rescued from being pets. After that, we went to an Orangutan Sanctuary. We saw 3 baby Orangutans. All of the orangutans there were wild and free to leave whenever they wanted to. I adored watching the babies eat.
